Getting ready to head to church. Tonight we are volunteering at the "Big Game". High school ministries dept has converted two floors of a old dept store at Washington Sq. mall with laser tag, table games, dodge ball, food, & a whole bunch of other stuff plus big tvs. The goal is to get 400 high schoolers there. Reminds me of the old Campus life days. Please be praying for the event.

Dwayne

Sorry Dwayne, but I missed this.

Glad to see that everybody had a good time and things went well.

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Thanks for the prayers & good wishes guys. You know teenagers have so many things thrown at them nowadays.
Sometimes we forget they are still kids. They have not developed the best judgement or coping skills. Then advertisements pushing sex, school pressures, fear of the future and in some cases a poor family life piles on and it is no wonder some kids get into some bad stuff.

Yeah we faced a lot of the same stuff but it just was not as prevasive or accepted back when I was cursin' to school with
Boston's first album blaring as loud as I could get it! smile.gif I thnk that is the key to why it is so hard for kids now, back then we thought someone might be having sex somewhere, but now they are pushed toward it and adults say stupid things like "they are going to do it anyway so..." almost ike it is expected of them.

So be praying for the kids, they are our future. If you got some, hug 'em tight and tell them you love 'em.
